Inclusivity & Event Types

  • Absolutely! We celebrate love in all its forms and warmly welcome couples of every gender, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. Our estate is a place where you can express your truest selves.

  • Our specialty is crafting unforgettable weekend-long celebrations in the serene beauty of upstate New York. We understand that some couples prefer a single-day event though it’s not common that we host single-day celebrations.

  • Yes! While we focus mostly on wedding weekends, our versatile estate is perfect for a variety of gatherings, including team-building retreats, yoga weekends, family reunions, festivals, parties, corporate meetings, photo shoots, and film locations. If you have a unique event in mind, we'd love to hear your ideas and see how we can bring them to life.

 

Vendor & Service Policies

  • To ensure your culinary experience is tailored to your tastes and budget, we do not offer in-house catering or bartending services. We can assist you in selecting caterers and bartending services that align with your vision. For inspiration, check out our blog posts featuring some of our favorite caterers.

  • Yes! Our packages include assisted planning through your dedicated wedding coach, as well as coordination services to ensure your day runs smoothly. If you're interested in a more comprehensive approach, we offer a full planning and design package to take the stress off your shoulders and bring your dream wedding to life.   • Of course! We enjoy collaborating with external planners and are excited to see the unique touches they bring to events at The Maples Estate.

 

Venue Features & Amenities

  • Yes! Included in your weekend wedding package is our four-stall, ADA-accessible luxury restroom container. This unit is housed in a beautifully converted shipping container and features running water, flushing toilets, and solar power—combining sustainability with comfort for you and your guests.

  • Absolutely! We offer a selection of chair styles and tables to accommodate up to 150 guests. If you’re hosting a larger event, additional rentals may be required based on your setup needs. You can browse our table and chair inventory as well as our prop inventory, which includes additional décor pieces included in your wedding package.

  • Yes! Our 4,000-square-foot reception pavilion serves as a beautiful and spacious backup location in the event of rain. In addition, our cocktail lawn features an 800-square-foot tent for extra coverage. During your coordination services, we’ll create a Plan B layout so you’ll have peace of mind no matter the weather.

 

Accommodations & Lodging

  • Your package includes a three-night, four-day stay in our historic 1855 colonial farmhouse. The house sleeps up to 17 guests with five private bedrooms and an adult-sized bunk room. Sleeping arrangements include:

    • 4 Queen beds

    • 6 Double/Full beds

    • 2 Twin beds

    • 1 Double/Full pull-out couch

    The farmhouse also features three full bathrooms with showers, giving you and your guests plenty of space to relax and get ready in comfort.

  • Yes, we require that the Licensee and vendors provide a certificate of insurance naming The Maples Estate as additionally insured. Coverage must include:

    • $1M general aggregate / $1M per occurrence (including property damage)

    • Host Liquor Liability coverage (if alcohol is being served)
      Insurance can be easily purchased through WedSafe.com, Indemn.com, or PrivateEventInsurance.com for approximately $175.

    A copy of the policy must be sent to info@themaplesestate.com at least 30 days prior to your event.

  • We’re so excited you’re considering celebrating with us! To book:

    • Email us to confirm your preferred date is available.

    • We’ll send you a wedding proposal outlining our packages.

    • Once you choose your package, your contract and deposit invoice will be automatically generated.

    • A 35% non-refundable deposit is due at contract signing, with additional payments due 180 days, 90 days, and 45 days before your wedding.

    • A $1,500 damage deposit is required 45 days prior to your event.

 

Policies & Restrictions

  • Yes—amplified music, such as DJ or live band performances, must end by 11 PM. However, this is the perfect time to transition to a campfire gathering, late-night cocktails on the veranda, or a cozy moment inside the farmhouse with your guests.

  • Yes! We love when couples include their furry friends. There is just a $500 refundable pet damage deposit required.

  • Yes! We have a private parking lot with space for 50+ guest cars and additional vendor parking.

  • Yes, and we highly recommend them! Shuttles are a great way to ensure offsite guests get back to their accommodations safely. We can accommodate shuttles of all sizes in our driveway and parking lot, and we’ll provide you with local transportation recommendations from our extensive vendor list when you book.

  • No! Campfires are included in your wedding package. We provide two options:

    • A small campfire pit near the farmhouse for intimate gatherings and late-night s’mores.

    • A larger fire pit in the field for guests to enjoy after the reception.
      Both locations will be stocked with wood, lighters, and water, so you can easily light a fire whenever you’d like, or our staff will manage depending on your group size and comfort level!

  • Yes! Candles are allowed as long as they are placed inside a hurricane vase or non-flammable vessel that covers at least 1” above the flame’s height for safety.
