From the very beginning, Hannah and Tim envisioned an elevated backyard-inspired wedding bursting with color! These two fun-loving souls first met at a unique family gathering—Tim’s family hosts an annual ‘Amazing Race’ meets ‘Survivor’-style challenge. Hannah was invited, stole the show, and the rest is history! Right from our initial planning discussions, it was clear that they wanted a relaxed, engaging, and fun-filled wedding, and that’s exactly what they got!

Katie made our design board, every time I shared it with a vendor the response was “oh my gosh did you make this?! ... In the middle of the mountains, beautiful views all around, wild flowers in abundance, a beautiful river, the pavilion is a dream, and so many options for your event locations - all of which are magical. Our wedding party stayed with us in the house and we all felt so comfortable. With 17 of us in total it was awesome to have the space to be together comfortably as we played games or shared a meal. The getting ready room is beautiful, it is a fun space to prepare.”

A Weekend of Fun!

The couple stayed at The Maples Estate farmhouse for the entire weekend, allowing them to fully enjoy time with loved ones. Originally planning to hit the mini-golf course after their rehearsal dinner, they instead opted for a cozy night in, playing board games with their closest friends—one of the many benefits of a weekend wedding at The Maples Estate!

Getting Ready & First Look

The wedding morning was relaxed and joyful, with Hannah gathering with her bridal party upstairs and Tim and his groomsmen downstairs before meeting for a private first look by the barn. This intimate moment set the perfect tone for the day, and we were completely obsessed with Hannah’s vibrant bouquet by Little Ann’s Flowers, which perfectly reflected the wedding’s colorful theme.

A Ceremony Bursting with Color

Hannah and Tim’s ceremony was a dreamscape of color! They chose mixed vintage chairs with the back row adorned in colorful ribbons, paired with bright, locally grown flowers overlooking the hillside under the tree grove. TBIRD Rentals custom-designed a double hexagon arbor, a nod to the traditional chuppah but with a modern, personalized twist. Before the ceremony, they also honored Jewish heritage by signing a Ketubah—a deeply meaningful and beautiful tradition.

A Playful & Personal Reception

After cocktail hour, Hannah and Tim made their grand entrance with bubble machines in hand! From personalized dance routines (including Tim and his mom’s Napoleon Dynamite-inspired number) to an interactive guest experience, the reception was truly unforgettable.

Guests were seated at long, family-style tables with the couple enjoying a sweetheart table for an intimate moment together. The night was filled with fun surprises, including:

A creative guest activity table featuring board games, a themed photo booth with cat cutouts, a communal coloring page, and a record player guest book.
Their pressed penny collection on display—such a unique touch!
Scratch-off tickets as guest favors for an extra dash of excitement.
A two-part cake cutting! First, a gorgeous colorful macaron and cupcake display and then a WAFFLE CAKE! – a surprise from Hannah to Tim, prepared by Meadowlark Catering.

A Dance Party to Remember

Following heartfelt speeches and dinner, the dance floor kicked off with the hora, followed by a hilarious and unexpected twist—the throwing of a stuffed snake! Instead of a traditional bouquet or garter toss, they honored a lucky guest with a stuffed snake, making for an epic moment.

As the night wound down, the newlyweds snuck away for romantic sunset photos overlooking the hillside, creek, and meadow before continuing the celebration late into the night. The next morning, they hosted a farewell brunch at the farmhouse, giving them one last chance to soak in the joy of the weekend.
